Academic Collaboration between Tokushima University and Technion-Israel Institute of Technology
The exchange between Tokushima University and Technion-Israel Institute of Technology (Technion) started in 2019 through the intermediary of Nichia Corporation (Nichia). Since 2020, both universities have been enjoying academic collaboration.
Tokushima University aims to develop excellent human resources by conducting advanced scientific research with Technion, the premier university in Israel as one of the world's leading innovative nations. Nichia hopes to contribute to the community of Tokushima, where the company was founded, by improving the academic level of Tokushima University.
Technion recognizes the commonality with Tokushima University as a technology-oriented university with a well-developed medical school and highly values the trust they have built up. These future-oriented ideas of the three parties endorse the academic collaboration between the two universities.
This academic collaboration aims to be a "bridge" between Japan and Israel and "bloom" its academic excellence.
